Time steals my eyes as
Ageing loudly ticks months, years
(If ears miss, don’t hear)
Clarity of vision dims
Physical sights swim…submerge
~
Adjustments tire…yet
Unexpected treasures gleam
Heart’s blindness redeemed
Spiritual sight grows clearer
Sterling vista, nearer Home

Well said, Zelda! I had cataract surgery on one eye! No problems and no regrets. I still wear glasses because of the other eye and personally, I like wearing glasses.

Thanks–and congrats on a successful eye surgery! From what I hear, most people still need glasses after cataract surgery–at least “Readers”.

Yes, I think most do! I had laser surgery because my eye had issues besides cataracts. I don’t need glasses for the new eye, but I like tinted lenses because my eyes are light sensitive.

Wonderful! I whole-heartedly agree with you. I hate wearing glasses. Yet, I’ve never felt more confident and self-assured than now.

That’s great! I have cataracts now, so glasses aren’t much help–resisting surgery until absolutely necessary. But I “see” with the heart, and that’s been a blessing ❤
