Rockin’ Song for Easter!

I totally LOVE this song, “Rattle!”…my dry bones are rattling, now that the stone’s been rolled away.  The passage from which the song comes (Ezekiel 37) is above video

Hoping those who celebrate Easter (Resurrection Sunday) are enjoying a meal with all the extras…and maybe a chocolate bunny or two🐤🐰🐤

I made a tropical cheesecake, YUM!* (photo & brief description at end of post…I might be persuaded to share recipe😉)

My Redeemer LIVES!!  God bless you ALL!💖Zelda

“…‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD!  This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!  I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons.  Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them.

Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’”

So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet..”  Ezekiel 37:4-10, New Living Translation*

King Jesus Is Risen, Easter 2021

Much as I love the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the Lenten season culminating with Easter (Resurrection Sunday) is more meaningful to me each year I grow older, closer in my relationship with God, the Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

I hunger to know Him more fully and intimately, and thus I spend much time in the Bible, and listening to esteemed Bible teachers, pastors and Messianic rabbis.  This year I read three of Max Lucado’s books which focus on what, and who, Jesus was busy with as he completed His journey to the Cross.

It’s a somber ponder for certain; difficult to grasp why He’d willingly lay down His life to satisfy the only just substitution possible, which God required to provide salvation for the doomed sinful world…specifically, for every “whosoever” that believes He’s the Son of God, and accepts the Father’s free gift of grace (forgiveness of sin) through Christ’s shed blood and resurrected life.

It’s taken the bulk of my 68 years to catch the revelation and begin to glimpse the mysteries…but even the small flickering glances are awesome, beautiful, gleaming with God’s glory, so that I swim rivers of tears between Ash Wednesday and Easter.  I’ve not experienced love like my Heavenly Father and Jesus offer from any person on Earth…I don’t view myself worthy of His sacrificial love, so I’m beyond grateful God sees me through different, marveling eyes.

This relationship—nurtured as I trust Someone I can’t see, and walk with by faith, guided by the voice and move of the Holy Spirit—is mostly indescribable.  Jesus is Hope, Healing, Joy, Wisdom, Strength, Comfort, Peace, unquenchably passionate Love.  He is the Solution to every problem, challenge I’ll face (regardless how slow I am to see, hear Him); He fights my battles, ever victorious—because He recognizes I’m a weak vessel.

He’s daily Bread which feeds me, Living Water to satisfy my thirst.  He’s Light in the darkness of life’s valleys.  He’s the cherished Friend who walks beside me and understands me completely; before Him, I can be unflinchingly honest about my thoughts, feelings…He won’t mock me.

To know I’ll never be alone, abandoned is wonderful enough—but to have found, years ago, that I’m on a forever-adventure in which “boredom” doesn’t exist…it’s amazing, like His amazing grace.

The Cross is a visual of Love’s wide open arms, eager to embrace us…no matter where we’ve been, what we’ve done/said, how badly we stink.  God keeps on loving us.  He bears our burdens if we’re smart enough to cast them on Him, instead of pridefully posing: “I’m tough, strong, independent…I’ve got it together, don’t need rescuing, don’t need a Savior”.

The worst-kept secret is that EVERYONE needs the Savior, King of kings and Lord of lords.  We’re desperate for release from some kind of locked cage…we can’t unchain ourselves, it’s impossible.

Each person born is given a choice he/she has to make for him/herself.  Eternity is just around the corner, sooner for some than for others.  Simple question:  do you want to live forever at Heaven’s banquet table, with God and all His saints?  Or would you prefer Hell’s Lake of Fire where there’s no companionship whatsoever—only echoing endless tormented weeping and relentless gnashing of teeth?

Those who choose Christ need never fear God’s judgment, for Jesus took the full weight of sin’s penalty upon Himself at the Cross.  He’s the only Way, the Truth, the Life

I hope and pray to see you at His table.💖Zelda

“…There is One who came down from heaven, the Son of Man [Himself–whose home is in heaven].  Just as Moses lifted up the [bronze] serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross], so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life [after physical death, and will actually live forever].

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] [a]only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him.  Whoever believes and has decided to trust in Him [as personal Savior and Lord] is not judged [for this one, there is no judgment, no rejection, no condemnation]; but the one who does not believe [and has decided to reject Him as personal Savior and Lord] is judged already [that one has been convicted and sentenced], because [b]he has not believed and trusted in the name of the [One and] only begotten Son of God [the One who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, the One who alone can save him].”  John 3:13-18, The Amplified Bible

Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6, Amplified Bible*

Easter Preview Music

It’s Saturday, the day before Easter (Resurrection Sunday)—I wanted to bring you plenty of GOOD NEWS ‘message in the music’ this weekend.  I hope you’ll enjoy today’s songs, and come back tomorrow for more, as we celebrate the Risen King.  And, if some of it sounds like “rock music” rather than hymns….well, JESUS IS MY ROCK😊

Whatever the challenges, sorrows, losses in your life right now (perhaps since the pandemic began), this weekend is your holy-engraved invitation to receive HOPE and Eternal Salvation—to be rescued by Jesus Christ, Redeemer.  Say “YES” to Him, and walk through the door into new life (not a perfect life, but far better than you’ve dreamed or imagined)—I speak from my true experience.

The Passover door is marked with the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus’ blood—now, visualize Him standing guard at the door to your life, your home…receive Him, and He promises He won’t let the “Destroyer” enter: you’re safe, secure…you can breathe, and rest in Him forever.

My prayers of blessing and love embrace you today💖 Zelda

Victory with Grace

Wonderful post about God’s grace—-we all need it desperately! Please leave comments on Mark Shields’ original post, thank you💖

This Day With God - A Spiritual Journey

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9

Brought out in the post “Acceptance” was how the Pharisees tried to trick Jesus into making statements that would conflict with the Law of Moses. They were looking for ways to bring Jesus down because they felt threatened by His new way.

Jesus offered grace so that both the Law of Moses and the intentions of God are accomplished. Things are not that different in current times as some individuals or groups reject certain thoughts, ideas, or established traditions.

Take encouragement in the song Grace Wins by Matthew West  because our faith has one common thread that binds us; the power of Christ in what we believe and how we live. Individuals and groups are not perfect but there is always victory…

Soul’s Songs (2/28/21)

Lyrics to “Stay” are posted following the 2nd song.

~♥~

“Stay” lyrics:

I know what it’s like
To be in the presence of the Lord
And not know what time it is
Because time stood still
And bodies were healed
And families restored
Because we stayed here
In the presence of the Lord
No one had to say a word
Couldn’t even make a sound
But I’d give up everything
For this treasure I’ve found
I never want it to end
stay
I don’t want You to go
Cause my heart is burning
In Your presence, Lord
Please, stay
I don’t want You to go
‘Cause my heart is burning
In Your presence, Lord
I want more
I want more
I want more
Jesus, I want more
I want more
I want more
I want more
Jesus, I want more
I want more
I want more
I want more
Jesus, I want more
I want more
I want more
I want more
Jesus, I want more
I want more
I want more
I want more
Jesus, I want more
So I’ll stay
Where else would I go
‘Cause my heart is burning
My heart is burning
My heart is burning
My heart is burning
My heart is burning
My heart is burning
My heart is burning
In Your presence, Lord
