Let’s Rev Muse Motor!

My Pens & Reference Books for Poem-a-Day

Let’s rev Muse motor

April soon takes eager wing

Flare those twitching quills

Buckle seatbelts, Passion drives

(Hoping I come through alive!)

Click the link below for full post.  In brief:  “Welcome to the second ever April PAD Challenge Countdown, in which Robert Lee Brewer shares a prompt and a poem (to get things started) in the 10 days leading up to the 2021 April Poem-A-Day Challenge. Let the poeming begin!

For today’s prompt, take the phrase “Let’s (blank),” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. Possible titles might include: “Let’s Get At It,” “Let’s Have Fun,” and/or “Let’s Poem.” So let’s see what we can come up with for this first day.”

Twilight Chirpers

Some twilight birds chirp

Don’t care about early worms

They like the nightlife

My kind of feathered kinfolk

Night brings Muse, poets’ magic

Coincidental Garden (3TC)

Performance wow’s all

Coincidental garden’s

Burgeoning blossoms

Springtime miracles happen

Keep your eyes, heart, wide open

Burnout (3TC)

Like a heart attack

Burnout seems sudden event

It’s progressive bane

Blurred choices made over time

Frustrations gnaw last nerve’s thread

Short Wish List (3TC)

The 3 prompt words are: Displeasure, Laugh, Wish

However, cataracts misread “pleasure” for “displeasure”…so I offer two poems🙂

Childhood’s short wish list

Family cloak of displeasure

Re-woven with laughs

Oh, nectar’d pleasure

Free-fall laugh pulped of doubt’s bite

Tattered heart’s wish list
