Beach, My Element

Daughter born from salt water

Sand still in my eyes…

You’d only need look

To find me in element

Heart’s open hand, reach

For any season’s wind-kissed

Beach, froth-edged blue rolls ever

There, where waves sing psalms

Clamshells clap with glee, exalt

Lord of shimmered seas

(Yep, that’s where I am!)

Strong Arm Water Mosaic (Twiglet)

Strong arm water pulls

Heart ‘neath sterling sea’s far depths

Once drenched in sapphire

Then, as ghost-love had

Strong arm water pushes soul

Back to twilight shore

Rough sand, shell fragment

Scourges longing for escape

Damns weak cowardice

Strong arm water’s balm

Sweeps tears into salt wavelets

Mosaic sky descends
